This technical report discusses the challenges of imaging deep targets beneath heterogeneous overburden in Block SC38, offshore Philippines, where seismic energy propagation is disrupted by a complex volcanic system. The absence of diving waves complicates velocity modeling, necessitating an accurate velocity model and advanced migration techniques. The paper presents a methodology combining Dynamic-Resolution Time-lag Full-waveform Inversion (DR-TLFWI) and Least-squares Prestack Depth Migration (LS-PSDM) to address these imaging challenges. DR-TLFWI enhances velocity model accuracy by optimizing contributions from low- and high-wavenumber components, while LS-PSDM compensates for illumination loss and improves amplitude fidelity in complex subsurface conditions. The results indicate improved event focusing and gather flatness in the target reservoir, demonstrating the effectiveness of this integrated approach for sub-volcanic imaging. The findings suggest that this methodology can significantly enhance imaging capabilities and reduce exploration uncertainties in challenging geological environments.
