This technical report presents a case study focused on the application of visco-acoustic multi-azimuth dynamic resolution time-lag full-waveform inversion (DR-TLFWI) to enhance subsurface modeling in offshore Senegal. The study addresses challenges in obtaining accurate velocity models in complex geological environments characterized by steep continental slopes and abrupt velocity contrasts. The report outlines the methodology employed, including the use of multi-azimuth seismic data to improve amplitude fidelity and velocity model accuracy. It details the iterative process of refining the model, which includes the integration of a Q-FWI approach for joint estimation of velocity and quality factor models. The findings indicate that the new DR-TLFWI model significantly reduces residual undulations and improves event continuity, thereby enhancing interpretation confidence and reservoir delineation.
