Quality Control Solution for Automotive Lighting Components

This case study outlines the implementation of the Swift PRO Edge measurement solution by Vision Engineering Ltd. for Marelli, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, in collaboration with DOGA Maroc. The objective was to ensure quality control of plastic components used in rear light assemblies, which must adhere to strict cosmetic and dimensional standards. The Swift PRO Edge was selected for its micron-level measurement accuracy and ability to provide real-time feedback with high-definition imaging, making it suitable for analyzing complex surfaces. The installation and calibration were conducted on-site, facilitating a smooth transition into production. The outcome of this implementation has resulted in daily use of the Swift PRO Edge on the lighting production line, enabling early fault detection and maintaining high visual standards for the components supplied to global automotive manufacturers. Its compact design allows for close placement to production, enhancing inspection speed and responsiveness to quality control needs.
