Accelerating Financial Reporting at Banyan

This case study outlines the implementation of Vivid Reports at Banyan Software, a private investment company. The objective was to streamline financial reporting processes that were previously time-consuming and complex due to the company's decentralized model and extensive portfolio of over 60 operating companies and nearly 100 legal entities. Prior to the implementation, financial reporting could take up to three days, which was inefficient. The Vivid tool was integrated seamlessly within two weeks, contrasting sharply with the typical implementation time of 6–8 months for similar tools. The results showed a significant reduction in reporting time from 2–3 days to just 4–5 hours, which enhanced decision-making speed. Additionally, the tool automated multi-currency conversions and eliminated repetitive tasks, allowing the team to focus more on analysis rather than data reconciliation. The case study highlights the efficiency gains and operational improvements achieved through this implementation.
