This case study details the modernization of MiFID II transaction reporting for a global tier-one bank using Volt Active Data. The bank faced significant regulatory obligations, requiring accurate and timely reporting of executed trades to the FCA. The legacy reporting system was fragmented and inefficient, leading to compliance risks. By consolidating its reporting processes onto a single, ACID-compliant regulatory engine, the bank achieved substantial improvements in performance metrics. Key outcomes included a reduction in P99 validation latency from over 150ms to under 12ms, an increase in ingestion throughput from 35K to over 120K trade events per second, and a decrease in report generation time from minutes to sub-seconds. The new architecture eliminated the complexities of the previous system, ensuring deterministic compliance and real-time reporting capabilities. This transformation not only improved operational efficiency but also significantly reduced regulatory risk, establishing a robust framework for future compliance requirements.
