Sustainable Energy Management System Development

This document is a case study detailing the development of a sustainable energy management platform for MATA Energy, a German provider focused on energy solutions. The project aimed to create a smart energy management system that facilitates sector-coupled energy supply and enhances sustainability while reducing energy costs. The initiative involved a strategic discovery session to refine the client’s vision into a clear roadmap. The platform is designed to support local energy hubs, enabling energy balancing services and two-way energy trading. The project utilized various technologies, including IoT devices for energy monitoring and management. Key features of the MVP include customized dashboards, real-time data visualization, and automated alerts for equipment malfunctions. The case study outlines the challenges faced during development, particularly in creating user-friendly data visualizations. It concludes with the successful launch of the MVP and ongoing collaboration between MATA Energy and WaveAccess for further project development.
