This case study documents the challenges faced by a mid-sized biopharma conducting an adhesive capsulitis trial, particularly regarding stalled enrollment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The recruitment efforts were hindered by inadequate media outreach and a lack of tracking for referrals, which prevented effective action by sites and sponsors.
