This report presents findings from a survey conducted in January 2024, focusing on the evolving dynamics of hybrid work arrangements in Europe. It highlights the perspectives of both employers and employees regarding the return to office mandates and the readiness of workplaces to support hybrid work. The survey included 3,500 full-time employees and 1,050 employers across seven European markets. Key findings indicate that a significant majority of employees are receptive to returning to the office, with 74% expressing positive sentiments about their organization's mandate. However, there is a notable disconnect between employee expectations for office environments and the current offerings, particularly in areas such as technology, collaboration spaces, and overall office layout. The report outlines critical areas for improvement and emphasizes the necessity for organizations to adapt their workspaces to meet the changing needs of a diverse workforce. Additionally, it discusses generational differences in responses to hybrid work tools and the importance of addressing these gaps to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
