It presents findings from a collaboration between WhoisXML API and Bayse Intelligence, which analyzed fraud data and identified instances of cybersquatting and phishing related to popular AI productivity tools. The report reveals that 78% of users are concerned about the exploitation of AI tools by fraudsters, a concern supported by recent cyber attacks on platforms like ChatGPT and Grammarly. The analysis includes a detailed examination of 2,003 domains linked to various AI tools, highlighting the tactics used by attackers to impersonate legitimate websites. The report also discusses the implications of these findings for brand protection and user safety, emphasizing the need for vigilance against potential threats targeting AI and cloud-based technologies. The document concludes with recommendations for monitoring and mitigating risks associated with these emerging threats.
