This case study details the digital transformation of a state judicial court system involving approximately 100 courthouses. The previous MPLS network faced significant challenges, including outdated IT infrastructure, substandard cybersecurity, and a lack of visibility and co-management capabilities. To address these issues, Windstream Enterprise implemented a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solution, enhancing connectivity and reliability. The upgraded network supports remote hearings and secure access to case files, ensuring compliance with the sixth amendment right to a speedy trial. Additionally, the deployment of Managed Network Security and Cloud Managed Switches has improved network performance and security. The court system now operates efficiently with enhanced voice quality and reliability, enabling a fully paperless e-filing environment. Windstream Enterprise's ongoing consultation has helped the court system create a roadmap for continued digital advancement, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage future technological needs.
