This case study details the modernization of network and voice services at Blue Water Industries (BWI), a manufacturer operating 25 locations across the southeastern United States. BWI faced significant challenges with outdated legacy systems, including expensive and unreliable POTS and T1 circuits, which led to frequent downtime and poor customer experiences. To address these issues, BWI partnered with Windstream Enterprise to implement modern, IP-based solutions, including SD-WAN Concierge and OfficeSuite UC. The transition aimed to streamline their services under a single provider, enhancing reliability and productivity. Following the implementation, BWI reported improved employee productivity and customer satisfaction, with a unified communications system that eliminated the need for multiple vendors. The active/active configuration of the SD-WAN solution significantly reduced network outages, allowing BWI to focus on innovation rather than troubleshooting. This modernization effort reflects BWI's commitment to providing high-quality products and services while ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.
