This case study details Phillips 66's transition from on-premise software to the cloud using the ADP WorkForce Suite as part of a larger enterprise resource planning transformation project. The objective was to reduce payroll errors and costs associated with maintaining technology solutions while improving governance, security, compliance, and monitoring of pay leave regulations. The challenges faced included a highly unionized environment and the need for effective internal compliance management. The implementation, which took approximately 18 months, involved collaboration with Accenture and resulted in the installation of 193 timeclocks across 13 locations, along with extensive training for over 11,000 employees. The project yielded significant cost savings and improved user experience, leading to increased end-user adoption. Phillips 66 was also able to adapt to changing business conditions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, by instituting safety measures and facilitating a phased return to the office.
