This case study details the implementation of Xage's Zero Trust Remote Access solution by one of the largest steel manufacturers in the Americas. The company faced significant challenges with its initial remote access solution, TeamViewer, which lacked essential security features such as multi-factor authentication and detailed session tracking. Due to the increasing cyber threats during the pandemic, the manufacturer sought a more secure alternative that would allow for safe remote access to its operational technology (OT) environments. Xage's solution was chosen for its superior zero trust capabilities, allowing for granular access control and enhanced security without disrupting existing operations. The implementation began with six sites and expanded to all North American facilities. The results included improved security posture, reduced cybersecurity insurance premiums, and enhanced productivity through a streamlined user experience. The case study highlights the effectiveness of Xage's solution in addressing the specific needs of the steel manufacturer while supporting its digital transformation efforts.
