This case study outlines the modernization and optimization of healthcare revenue management services through the use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and automation. The client aimed to enhance scalability, security, and performance while streamlining patient data management and automating Notice of Admission (NOA) submissions. Key challenges included reliance on manual data entry, delayed NOA submissions, and integration complexities within the existing ecosystem. Solutions provided included the development of a Patient Management System (PMS), a secure physician portal, an Admit Notifier module for automated NOA submissions, and an Order Manager module for centralized tracking of physician orders. These solutions improved data accuracy, reduced operational costs, and enhanced cash flow efficiency. The implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) further automated the identification and submission of admissions, significantly reducing manual workload. Overall, the project resulted in optimized OCI utilization, seamless integration of new solutions, and improved operational efficiency.
