Synetis Implements YubiKey for Enhanced Security

This case study details the implementation of YubiKey solutions by Synetis, an independent consulting firm in France specializing in information system security. Founded in 2010, Synetis has established a presence in multiple countries and has been ANSSI qualified since 2021. The firm faced challenges related to password management, which resulted in a high volume of support tickets and user friction. To address these issues, Synetis opted for YubiKey, a hardware security key that provides phishing-resistant authentication. The deployment of YubiKeys led to a complete elimination of password-related support tickets, enhancing security while simplifying user interaction. The study outlines the decision-making process, including the evaluation of various solutions, and highlights the benefits of YubiKeys, such as their versatility and ease of use. The proactive communication strategy during deployment contributed to strong user adoption, and the firm is now exploring additional use cases for YubiKeys to further enhance their cybersecurity posture.
