This case study details the challenges faced by North Judson-San Pierre Schools in Indiana due to frequent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. The Technology Director, Billy Russell, observed a pattern of network disruptions that severely impacted the school's internet and voice services, particularly during critical testing periods. The study outlines the initial confusion regarding the nature of these cyberattacks and the limitations of existing tools to combat them. After extensive research and consultation, the school adopted ENA NetDefender, which significantly reduced downtime during attacks. The case study emphasizes the importance of proactive planning and having a robust cybersecurity strategy in place to mitigate the risks associated with DDoS attacks. It concludes by noting that, despite ongoing attacks, the implementation of ENA NetDefender has allowed the school to maintain operational continuity with minimal disruptions.
