This case study details the implementation of Zerto by the San Carlos Apache Tribal Gaming Enterprise (SCATGE) to modernize and protect its aging IT infrastructure. The document outlines the challenges faced by SCATGE, including the need for a business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) strategy, compliance with tribal and state regulations, and fulfilling insurance requirements. The solution involved protecting 120 virtual machines (VMs) and critical applications through Zerto, which enabled cross-replication between two sites for disaster recovery integrity. The case study presents the results of this implementation, highlighting streamlined operations that reduced the need for a full-time employee and simplified compliance reporting. The transition to Zerto improved the efficiency of the disaster recovery process, allowing for rapid deployment and easy testing. Additionally, the case study emphasizes SCATGE's commitment to supporting the San Carlos Apache Tribe during the COVID-19 pandemic by transforming its resort into a healthcare facility.
