This white paper presents an analysis of the maturity of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) quality analytics within pharmaceutical companies. It outlines the importance of effective quality risk management in clinical trials, emphasizing the need for reliable results and the protection of human subjects. The paper describes a framework developed to evaluate GCP quality analytics maturity across six dimensions, based on interviews with key personnel from top pharma companies. It discusses the varying levels of maturity observed, ranging from disjointed analytics to organizations leading in innovative practices. The findings indicate that many companies fall between levels 2 and 3 of the maturity scale, with a notable lack of centralized analytics teams and inconsistent roles within analytics groups. The paper also highlights leading practices adopted by more mature organizations, such as executive sponsorship for analytics, joint ownership of analytics initiatives, and the establishment of centralized data ecosystems to enhance decision-making capabilities.
