This report presents the findings from an independent test of the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (ZTE) conducted by CyberRatings.org in Q2 2025. The evaluation utilized the Security Service Edge (SSE) Threat Protection Methodology v2.1 to assess ZTE's capabilities in detecting and blocking various cyber threats, including exploits, malware, and evasion techniques, while inspecting encrypted TLS/SSL traffic. The testing aimed to ensure minimal false positives and robust security effectiveness. The results indicated that ZTE achieved a 100% block rate for malware and exploits, along with exceptional resistance to evasion techniques. Additionally, the report details the product's support for TLS/SSL cipher suites and its overall security effectiveness, which was calculated using a specific formula that factors in the dual nature of threats. The findings provide organizations with critical insights into the performance and reliability of Zscaler's security solutions in modern enterprise environments.
