This document is a case study detailing the network infrastructure upgrade at Stade de Genève, a prominent sports venue in Geneva, Switzerland. The upgrade was undertaken to meet the requirements of UEFA for the Women’s Euro 2025 and to enhance the spectator experience by providing reliable, high-speed connectivity for large crowds. The project involved collaboration with various partners, including Ticketmaster, SKIDATA, and Zyxel Networks, and focused on improving ticketing systems, VIP services, and overall operational efficiency. The upgraded network features advanced technologies such as XGS1930-28 switches, WAX630S WiFi 6 access points, and ATP500 firewalls, all managed through the Nebula cloud platform. The case study outlines the challenges faced, including increasing attendance and the need for enhanced security and connectivity. It also highlights the successful results of the upgrade, which has significantly improved network capacity and performance, ensuring seamless connectivity for spectators and operational teams during major events.
