Challenges and Priorities for Graduate Enrollment Professionals

This document is a research report that outlines the challenges and priorities faced by graduate enrollment professionals in the post-pandemic educational environment. It presents findings from multiple surveys conducted between December 2020 and February 2024, focusing on topics such as enrollment metrics, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), work environment, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in admissions. The report details the experiences of 647 unique participants from 438 institutions, highlighting their familiarity with AI and its applications in marketing and enrollment efforts. It also discusses workplace stress factors, enrollment forecasts, and the shifting priorities of institutions regarding enrollment strategies. The findings indicate a positive outlook for enrollment growth, despite concerns about the increasing cost of higher education and the evolving landscape of graduate education. The report emphasizes the importance of addressing stressors and leveraging AI to enhance recruitment and enrollment processes.
