The Q2 2025 Ad Quality Report provides an analysis of malvertising trends and the prevalence of malicious ads across global programmatic advertising channels. The report details a significant increase in malicious ad rates, which doubled in the top five markets, including the US and UK, reaching a 12-month peak in June. Auto-redirect attacks rose sharply from 48% in Q1 to 66% in Q2, marking a 37% increase and establishing them as the leading global malvertising vector. The report also highlights the surge in floating ads, which increased eightfold compared to 2024. GeoEdge conducted extensive monitoring and analysis of billions of ad impressions to compile this report, utilizing their real-time ad security solution to assess ad quality and malvertising blocking across various devices and channels. The findings indicate that malvertising is a growing concern, with 23 countries exceeding the user safety threshold for malicious ads.
