This technical report outlines the objectives and accomplishments of a project focused on climate migration in Gulf Coast communities. The project aims to investigate the capacity of three receiving communities—Houston, Orlando, and Isle de Jean Charles—to accommodate climate migrants. It evaluates local housing markets, financial health services, employment opportunities, healthcare capacity, and social facilities. The project team successfully produced five reports detailing institutional impacts across these domains, along with an overarching synthesis report and a policy brief aimed at preparing communities for climate migration. Additionally, the project engaged students from local universities, enhancing their research skills and community knowledge. The report includes information on data management practices, emphasizing compliance with established standards for data quality and security. The project generated various data products, including geographic analyses of climate migrant reception areas, contributing to a deeper understanding of the challenges and capacities of these communities in the context of climate-induced migration.
