This case study documents the collaboration between Servos and the North Carolina DMV to enhance the efficiency of their call center operations. The project aimed to modernize the DMV's paper-based processes and improve communication between internal teams and citizens. Challenges included managing a large volume of constituent records and integrating various systems, including the DMV mainframe and NICE CXOne CTI platform. Servos worked to unify the call center's procedures, allowing for standardized processes and improved case resolution through automated notifications and workflow transparency. The integration efforts facilitated better access to customer and vehicle information, which streamlined agent interactions. A multi-vendor approach was employed, involving collaboration with different teams to meet project requirements. User acceptance testing (UAT) was extended to ensure buy-in from the NCDMV team, and a 'train the trainer' program was developed to support internal subject matter experts. The initiative ultimately aimed to create a more efficient and transparent service for citizens.
