This technical report aims to bridge established industry skills frameworks with SHL's Skills Taxonomy, as evaluated by the Global Skills Assessment (GSA). The primary objective is to enhance understanding of how candidates' skill sets align with industry expectations across four key sectors: IT, Retail, Financial Services, and Healthcare. The report outlines the methodology used to map these frameworks to the skills assessed by the GSA, which measures 96 distinct skills through a brief assessment. It details the essential skills required for success in each industry, emphasizing the importance of aligning recognized skill frameworks with the GSA to identify strengths and gaps in candidates' skill sets. Additionally, the report discusses the significance of compliance, leadership, and strategic planning in the IT sector, while also providing insights into the performance analysis of candidates applying for roles in these industries. The findings can inform hiring decisions and internal career development strategies for organizations.
