This document is a case study detailing the implementation of an automated agent chargeback process for a leading auto insurance provider specializing in non-standard policies. The client faced challenges with their internal quoting system, which resulted in financial losses due to unconverted quotes. To address this, a program was designed to charge agents for report fees associated with unconverted quotes, incentivizing better performance. XTIVIA delivered a scalable solution using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Complex Event Processing (CEP) to automate the chargeback process. The solution included components for event validation, data enrichment, business rules application, and scheduling. As a result, the client achieved cost reduction, improved conversion rates, increased revenue, and established a low-maintenance framework adaptable to future business needs. The successful rollout of this solution across focus states demonstrated significant operational efficiency improvements.
