Cognia is a non-profit organization based in the United States, established in 2006, that operates within various sectors, including education, healthcare, and civic engagement. The organization focuses on improving educational outcomes and organizational effectiveness through research and strategic planning. A key initiative involves a study contracted with Instructure to evaluate the impact of Cognia’s Strategic Thinking and Planning Process on student outcomes in Florida schools, conducted over three academic years from 2021 to 2024. The study encompasses a sample of 10,579 K–12 students across 29 schools, analyzing the relationship between the implementation of critical educational initiatives and various student performance metrics, such as attendance, discipline, and standardized assessment scores. The research aims to provide insights into the effectiveness of these initiatives, contributing to the broader understanding of educational strategies under the Every Student Succeeds Act. Cognia’s work is characterized by its commitment to enhancing educational quality and fostering accountability within educational institutions.
